About Tea

Tea is an aromatic beverage prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured or fresh leaves. Tea is the most widely consumed drink in the world after water.

Origin of Tea:

All types of teas except herbal are brewed from dried leaves oh CAMELLIA SINENSIS BUSH. Tea was discovered in China and for almost hundreds of years remained Chinese beverage. Just than tea became popular in Asia and Europe including England in 16th Century. At that instance Tea was considered as herbal medicine rather than a beverage. In early 20’s factories, mines and textile mills were encouraged to provide tea breaks for their workers.
There are main four types of teas i.e. GREEN, OOLONG, BLACK, WHITE.

Green Tea:

Green tea has become necessity drink in 21st century, as now people have become more conscious about health (Mental and Physical both) as per the lifestyle and food habits, so the usage of Green tea has grown to next level. Green tea is made from unoxidized leaves and is one of the least processed types of the tea. It is also rich in antioxidants.

Oolong Tea:

Oolong Tea has less antioxidants than green tea but it is very low on caffeine as compared coffee which is again a very highly consumed beverage. Unsweetened Oolong tea is considered a Zero Calorie Beverage. Oolong tea accounts to only 2% of total tea consumption but has a bundle of benefits.

Black Tea:

Black tea is one of the teas consumed largely in the western part of the world. Black Tea is often blended with other plants like ROSE, CHAMOMILE, LAVENDER, etc which gives soothing aromatic flavor. It is said widely consumed in English breakfast worldwide.
It has more caffeine than its counterparts as Green Tea and White Tea but however it still contains less caffeine than Coffee. Black tea has numerous health benefits, reduces risk of cancer, improves skin and hair, also improves heart health.

White Tea:

White tea is the first nectar of the tea plant it is very delicate and difficult of pluck from the plant. It is produced by picking the buds and leaves of the tea plant before they are fully open. It is named after buds tiny white hairs. It is full of antioxidants and zero calories no fat at all.
White tea is beneficial for Bone Strength, Brain Health, Dental Health and the list goes on.
